A model uses ideas that are tested through some kind of mechanism. The ideas are then compared to real world phenomena to see if they are valid. Often they are mathematically constructed using computer programs, which can be complex. These types of models are called mathematical or computer models. When computer models are used to predict the climate they are called global climate models.
A regional climate model (Abbreviated RCM) is a numerical climate prediction model forced by specified lateral and ocean conditions from a general circulation model (GCM) or observation-based dataset (reanalysis) that simulates atmospheric and land surface processes, while accounting for high-resolution topographical data, land-sea contrasts, surface characteristics, and other components of the Earth-system. Since RCMs only cover a limited domain, the values at their boundaries must be specified explicitly, referred to as boundary conditions, by the results from a coarser GCM or reanalysis; RCMs are initialized with the initial conditions and driven along its lateral-atmospheric-boundaries and lower-surface boundaries with time-variable conditions. RCMs thus downscale global reanalysis or GCM runs to simulate climate variability with regional refinements. It should be noted that solutions from the RCM may be inconsistent with those from the global model, which could be problematic in some applications.
Urban climate differs greatly from the climate of their natural surroundings, which can be explained by the surface characteristics of urban areas, which are narrow streets, isolated roofs, lack of vegetation cover, and large thermal capacity of buildings, which leads to a warmer, drier and turbulent urban atmosphere. High accuracy in simulation of details in the city and all its details very accurately.
Targeted at modeling the climate of the entire globe or large parts of the globe over long periods of time, local climate models seek to simulate the climate on a small scale over a limited area of between a few square meters and one square kilometer for a short period.

These models began to be used about twenty years ago to explain the climate of small areas until their accuracy reaches 5 m 2 and they have high horizontal and vertical accuracy. The most important model within this group is the German model ENVI-met.

He is a member of the UNFCCC roster of experts in climate change (mitigation) & certified reviewer in GHG inventory, also a certified reviewer of NCS&BRS of annex 1 countries. He gained experience in the cc mitigation leading the development of the Egyptian CDM projects portfolio & also the coordinator of the Egyptian designated national authority for CDM providing capacity building for CDM. He became the project manager of Egypt's third national communication (TNC) from 2011- Feb 2013. He joined the Climasouth programme (a project funded by EU and managed by Agriconsulting consortium) from Feb 2013 up to Nov 2014 as the senior expert on low carbon development, where he contributed to strengthening the capacity of southern EU Mediterranean countries in climate change mitigation issues including greenhouse gases reporting and mitigation including NAMA, LEDs and NMMS. Since Dec 2014.
As part of our partnership with ECCSCO, we conduct environmental studies, research, monitoring, and rehabilitation for businesses in the oil, gas, mining, and tourism sectors. We also offer trainings and awareness sessions on topics like climate change, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, and carbon footprint.
